The climate in 2017 was notable
for its relative dryness,
but winter 2018 saw the reserves
rebuilt thanks to a mild and
very humid start to the year.

In March,
a cold snap delayed the budding,
which only got going in mid-April,
making this a late start to
the annual growth cycle.
Spring was warm,
but there were numerous storms.
The near-tropical weather was
very much to the vines’ taste,
and they began to grow fast – very fast.

As a result,
during the space of a few weeks
we went from conditions pointing
towards a late harvest to a far
more precocious growth pattern,
with the first flowering taking place
towards the end of May.

We have now reached
the closed bunch stage and,
within the next ten days,
we expect to see the first
hints of colour on the berries
(the start of véraison).
The bunches are very healthy and,
for the moment,
we see little hint of fungal disease.

今年的芽苞在5月下旬開始發展
果株初生的樣子訴說了
今年會是結實累累的一年！
夏天開始於6月下半旬
今年的夏天呈現著溫暖
乾燥且多風的樣貌
這對葡萄園來說是非常好的環境
溫暖的風能夠讓葡萄園保持乾燥
葡萄不易於沾染黴菌
葡萄的果實就能健康的成長
2018年份是相對早熟的年份
與幾個極佳的年份
1999/2000/2009/2015/2017
的氣候條件相似
整體來說是近乎完美的年份
亨利費希先生(Henry Fessy)
於1888年買下薄酒萊產區
(Beaujolais)的葡萄園
也就是今日十大薄酒萊特級村莊中
(Crus Beaujolais)中的布依高地
(Brouilly)內頂級的
單一葡萄園-Bel Air
從此開創特級薄酒萊傳奇
酒莊奉行著一句法國諺語
"Le bonvieux temps"
意喻著
"美好的黃金年代"
一個法國長棍
一杯薄酒萊美酒
就是布根地人心目中的極樂
